I say, and with God's help: Zakat is not obligatory on the sold item before possession; because it is a condition for the obligation of zakat on wealth that it must be fully owned in both essence and management, and before taking possession of the sold item, ownership is incomplete, so zakat is not obligatory due to the lack of fulfillment of the condition, and God knows best.
