Zakat on Debt if Denied by the Creditor
Is zakat obligatory on a debt if the creditor denies it and there is evidence against him?
Answer
I say, with Allah's guidance: Zakat is obligatory on it, and he should pay zakat for the past years if he receives it from the debtor, because it is wealth that is expected to return, and Allah knows best.
