The Ruling on Touching the Quran Without Purity

Question
Is there a hadith or Quranic text that states or indicates that the ruling of menstruation is the same as or similar to that of major impurity (janabah); because some say that menstruation is not considered impure, and that a menstruating woman can fast and not pray during the last days of her period, relying on that and on the fact that reading the Quran does not require ablution. Based on this, they claim that it is permissible to read the Quran during menstruation, and it is permissible to touch the Quran to move it from one place to another. Is all of this correct?
Answer

I say, and with Allah's success: The problem is not in the existence of Quranic and prophetic texts, but rather in understanding and interpreting them. We, the people of Sunnah, do not accept their interpretation except through established sciences that exist for their interpretation; we do not accept individual interpretations, but rather refer to the Sunni schools of thought specialized in that. All schools have agreed that it is not permissible to touch the Quran during menstruation, and they have agreed that major impurity and menstruation share this ruling. In these fatwas, we adhere to the Hanafi school and act accordingly, as it is one of the largest and most famous Sunni schools, and it is considered a proof. And Allah knows best.
