Who Begins the Prayer Voluntarily While Not in a State of Ablution

Question
What is the ruling for someone who begins the prayer voluntarily while not in a state of ablution?
Answer
He is not required to make up for it; because starting the prayer is not valid at all. Purity from ritual impurity is a condition for the validity of the prayer, and if it is missed, starting it is not valid. See: Opening the Door of Care 1: 220.
