Charity for Those Who Died Before Dawn
Is the Zakat al-Fitr obligatory for someone who died before the dawn of Eid?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If someone died before dawn, their Zakat al-Fitr is not obligatory, but if they died after it, it is obligatory. Refer to: Fath Bab al-Ianaya 1: 554, and Al-Hadiyya al-Alaiyya p. 241, and God knows best.
