Whoever wants to pray but is unaware of the direction of the Qibla and cannot find someone to ask

Question
What is the ruling for someone who wants to pray but is unaware of the direction of the Qibla and cannot find someone to ask?
Answer
He must strive, that is, try as much as possible to make an effort to know the direction of the Qibla, and he is not required to repeat the prayer if his mistake is revealed; as His Glory says: (So wherever you turn, there is the Face of Allah) Al-Baqarah: 115, meaning: there is the Qibla of Allah, which was revealed in the case of uncertainty during prayer. See: Naf' al-Mufti p.243-244.
