The Invocation at the Beginning of Ablution

Question
What is the ruling on the invocation at the beginning of ablution?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: It is recommended to say the name of Allah at the beginning of the washing; due to His saying : "Every speech or matter of importance that does not begin with the mention of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, is cut off," as mentioned in Musnad Ahmad 2/359, and there are other phrases reported by Al-Hafiz Abdul Qadir Al-Rahawi in his "Forty Hadiths," and Al-Sakhawi authored a part on it. And from Abu Huraira , he said : "There is no prayer for one who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for one who does not mention the name of Allah upon it," in Al-Mustadrak 1: 246, which he authenticated, and in the selected hadiths 1: 303, and in Al-Jami' Al-Tirmidhi 1: 38, and in the minor Sunnahs 1: 82. See: Majma' Al-Anhar 1: 22, and Allah knows best.
