Selling a ton of iron for two tons
Is it permissible for me to borrow a ton of iron from a commercial store and return two tons to it by mutual consent and agreement from both parties?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Iron is one of the usurious items, and its sale must involve equality and immediate exchange in the session. If it is a loan, it must be repaid with the same amount without increase, even if both parties agree. And God knows best.
