Question
What is the ruling on donating to a mosque where obligatory prayers are performed and good deeds are done, but the people who manage the mosque are from the people of innovation, and there may be teachings of non-kafir innovative issues in the mosque?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: It is recommended to donate to the mosque for its repair and improvement and to encourage the worshippers in it. However, if these donations help spread innovative thought, it is not permissible to donate to it, and the donor may fear sin rather than reward. And Allah knows best.
