If he turns his face away from the Qibla in prayer without turning his chest, his prayer is not invalidated; but if he turns his chest, it is invalidated, because the condition is to face the Qibla with the chest, not the face. Refer to Al-Kifayah 1: 237, and Nafa' Al-Mufti 241.
