I say, and with God's help: It is not obligatory to perform ghusl (ritual washing) after washing the deceased, but it is recommended; as reported by Ibn Majah from Abu Huraira that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever washes a deceased person should perform ghusl," and God knows best.
