A woman inherited gold from her mother worth approximately (8000) dinars and a half. Then her sister wanted to acquire this gold and give her the monetary value. She took it but has not paid the amount yet, as she plans to have the price in the future. Is this action permissible, especially since the value of gold is variable? And since the original owner of the gold gave it to her sister and does not yet possess the price, does she have to pay zakat on this gold?

In jurisprudence, selling gold in installments with an increase in its price is prohibited, and the reason is that gold and currency are the same thing. So why do we buy gold today for one thousand dinars, and then have to sell it after a while for a higher or lower amount based on the first principle? Does this not constitute usury? And are gold and currency the same in this time?
