Selling Gold on Deferred Payment

Question
A woman inherited gold from her mother worth approximately (8000) dinars and a half. Then her sister wanted to acquire this gold and give her the monetary value. She took it but has not paid the amount yet, as she plans to have the price in the future. Is this action permissible, especially since the value of gold is variable? And since the original owner of the gold gave it to her sister and does not yet possess the price, does she have to pay zakat on this gold?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: the contract is void between them, and the gold remains owned by her; because she did not receive the price in the session, and the contract for the gold is invalid if it is not received in its session, and she must pay zakat on the gold for these years, and God knows best.
