Zakat on Savings in the Hajj Fund
A woman has an amount in the Hajj fund (5000) dinars that has completed a year. Should she pay zakat on it? What is the amount of zakat? Is it permissible for her to give it to her son or daughter?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is due a zakat of (125) dinars, and it is not permissible to give it to sons and daughters, and God knows best.
