Zakat on Perfumes
A man trades in some aromatic products, is zakat obligatory on him? Should the zakat be calculated based on the cost price of these products or the selling price of these products?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If these products reach the zakat threshold, which is 100 grams of gold, zakat is due, and the zakat should be based on the value of these products, not the selling price, and God knows best.
