Zakat on Olive Oil
Is there Zakat on olive oil? And what is the amount of Zakat if it is irrigated with rainwater or mixed water?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Zakat is required on it, and it should be 10% if it is watered by rainwater, and likewise if it is mostly watered by rainwater throughout the year. If it is mostly watered by sources other than rainwater throughout the year, then it should be 5%. And God knows best.
