Zakat on Gold in the Absence of Money
A lady owns gold worth two thousand five hundred dinars, but she does not have money to pay the Zakat on it. Is Zakat obligatory on her?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Zakat is not obligatory unless the wealth is equivalent to 100 grams of gold, and this is not realized in this case, and God knows best.
