Zakat of Orphan's Wealth
Is it permissible to give Zakat from the wealth of orphans held by the relevant committees? And what is the method of giving it?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If these orphans are minors and not of age, then there is no zakat on their wealth. If they are of age, it must be paid; otherwise, it remains a debt upon them. And God knows best.
