Zakat of One Who Does Not Own the Nisab
A woman has two thousand dinars, and she uses this amount to relieve the distress of people by paying it back in installments or through a cooperative fund that goes out and returns. Does she owe zakat on it if a year passes?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Zakat is only obligatory for the wealthy who possesses (100) grams of gold or its equivalent, which is estimated to be more than (3000) dinars approximately, and the amount you mentioned is less than the threshold, and God knows best.
