Zakat from the Inheritance
A man died and left behind wealth that became the property of his heirs, and each one's share is known, but the inheritance has not been distributed and a year has passed. Is there Zakat due on it?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If this money is merchandise, which seems to be the case, then there is no zakat on it, and God knows best.
