Zakat al-Fitr for Those Who Cannot Afford It
Is Zakat al-Fitr obligatory for someone who cannot afford to give it, as their salary goes towards obligations such as rent and other expenses?

I say, and with God's success: Zakat al-Fitr is obligatory for anyone who possesses the nisab, which is the value of (100) grams of gold, in addition to their basic needs. What you mentioned indicates that they do not possess it, so it is not obligatory for them, and God knows best.
