Question
What is the ruling on wudu if the hair is dyed with a dye that prevents water from reaching it, as if it has created a barrier around the hair and we do not know the nature of the dye or if it is like henna, and we cannot distinguish between them? Is wudu valid in its presence?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If the dye is merely a color that mixes with the hair, it does not prevent the validity of ablution; because it does not create a barrier that prevents water from reaching the hair, and God knows best.
