Writing Explanations and Meanings of the Verses in the Margins of the Quran
Is it permissible for me to write explanations and interpretations of the meanings of the Quran on the Quran itself for the purpose of memorization?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is disliked to write on the Quran for fear of tampering with it and being bold towards it unless there is a necessity for that, and what you mentioned is not one of those necessities, and God knows best.
