Working with a Weak Opinion in the School
What is the ruling for someone who acts according to a weak opinion in the Hanafi school? Are they sinful for this action? Or do we rule that their worship is entirely invalid?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is not correct to act according to the weak opinion unless it is chosen by a mufti who has the ability to exercise independent judgment under known conditions for acting on the weak opinion, and God knows best.
