Women's Leadership and Reading from the Mushaf
If a woman leads the women of her household in Taraweeh prayers during the month of Ramadan instead of going to the mosque and reading from the Mushaf out of fear of forgetting, knowing that she has memorized the Book of Allah, what is the ruling on this action?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is better for you to encourage women to pray individually; because this is the Sunnah for them. As for reading from the Mushaf, it is a matter of disagreement, and there is flexibility in it. Therefore, one should not abandon the best of standing and completing the recitation due to the existing juristic differences among the schools of thought, and God knows best.
