Wife's Request for Independence in Housing
A lady lives with her mother-in-law in the same apartment, and she wants to know everything about them. There is a separate apartment from theirs, and she says to her husband: If I move her to the other apartment, will I be at fault?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible for you to request that from your husband, and to have independence in an apartment where no one from the husband's relatives shares with you. It is permissible to move the husband's mother to an apartment while being good to her and treating her kindly, and God knows best.
