Whoever intends to fast Ramadan or a specific vow or a voluntary fast at night, then retracts his intention to fast, then returns to the intention of fasting
What is the ruling for someone who intended to fast Ramadan or a specific vow or a voluntary fast at night, then retracted his intention to fast, then returned to the intention of fasting?
Answer
If he returns to the intention of fasting before noon and is abstaining from eating, drinking, and sexual intercourse, then his fast is valid, as mentioned in Al-Hadiyah Al-Ala'iyah, pp. 155-156.
