Who has income but does not accumulate the nisab
If someone has a good income from their job or craft but spends it directly on their life and does not accumulate the nisab, is there any zakat due on them?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Whoever does not possess the nisab remains within the circle of the poor upon whom zakat is not obligatory; because the dividing line between poverty and wealth is the nisab. Whoever possesses it is wealthy, and whoever does not possess it is poor. As mentioned in the ردّ المحتار (2: 8) and البحر الرائق (2: 222), and God knows best.
