Wearing Medical Shoes During Umrah and Tawaf for Necessity
I am going to perform the rituals of Umrah, and I have a foot problem, and I wear medical shoes. My doctor advised me not to walk without them. Is it permissible for me to keep wearing them during Ihram, Tawaf, and Sa'i, and do I have to make any expiation?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: A woman can wear any shoes she wishes without restriction, but the condition for wearing sandals is specific to men. If a man has an excuse, he is forgiven for that, and God knows best.
