Wearing Light Makeup in Front of Strangers

Question
If a woman applies light makeup to her face, like those who work in television media, or to conceal a pale complexion, while her face is uncovered but she is wearing a hijab, is this considered part of the adornment mentioned in the verse, where it is noted that some of the female companions used to apply certain substances to their faces that were available in their environment?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If the subject is not considered adornment and does not cause temptation, but rather keeps the woman in the usual appearance that most women have or conceals a specific flaw, then such is permissible. If it exceeds that, it is not permissible, and God knows best.
