Wearing a Wig Instead of a Hijab

Question
A woman wears a hijab and covers her head. She applied for a job that requires her hair to be uncovered, so she wants to wear a wig to conceal her hair and meet this requirement to work at the company. Is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: It is forbidden for a woman to uncover her hair or any part of her body for work or otherwise. And Allah, the Exalted, will suffice you from such actions. The worldly life cannot replace the Hereafter, and it is not permissible for you to wear a wig for coverage, as beautification and temptation are indeed present in it, thus the prohibition remains. And Allah knows best.
