Water Mixed with Pure Solid

Question
What is the ruling on using water that has been mixed with pure solid?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: The water that has mixed with a pure solid has two conditions: either it changes the nature of the water or it does not. First: If it changes the nature of the water in terms of fluidity, flow, irrigation, and growth, to the extent that it takes on another name other than water, then it becomes pure but not purifying for ritual impurity; it is permissible to remove actual impurity with it, but it is not permissible to perform ablution or bathing with it. Second: If it does not change the nature of the water: it has several cases: The first: If none of the characteristics of the water change in terms of color, taste, or smell when mixed with a pure solid, then it remains pure and purifying for ritual impurity; it is permissible to remove actual impurity with it, and it is permissible to perform ablution and bathing with it. The second: If all the characteristics of the water change in terms of color, taste, or smell when mixed with a pure solid without cooking, such as soap, saffron, fruits, or leaves intended for cleanliness, then it remains pure and purifying for ritual impurity; it is permissible to remove actual impurity with it, and it is permissible to perform ablution and bathing with it. The third: If all the characteristics of the water change in terms of color, taste, or smell when mixed with a pure solid cooked in water to the extent that it becomes thick, then it becomes pure but not purifying for ritual impurity; it is permissible to remove actual impurity with it, but it is not permissible to perform ablution or bathing with it. As narrated by Ibn Abbas: "A man fell from his camel and died, so the Prophet said: 'Wash him with water and sidr...,' in Sahih Muslim 2: 865, and Sahih Bukhari 1: 425. And from Qais ibn Asim: "He came to the Prophet and he ordered him to bathe with water and sidr," in Sunan al-Bayhaqi al-Kabir 1: 172. And from Umm Hani, may Allah be pleased with her, she said: "The Messenger of Allah was on the day of the conquest at the top of Mecca, and I came to him, and Abu Dharr brought a bowl containing water. I said: 'I see in it traces of dough.' So Abu Dharr covered it, then the Prophet covered Abu Dharr and he bathed," in Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 1: 119, and Sahih Ibn Hibban 3: 462. See: Umda al-Ri'ayah 1: 85, and Allah knows best.
