Utilization of Public Funds
If a group goes on a trip to a public park or recreational area, and they take soil or fruit from the trees, and if someone sees them and does not prevent them from doing so, knowing that they may not benefit from what they took, what is the ruling on their action?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If the soil is little and does not cause harm to the place, it is permissible; because it is among the permissible things. As for the fruit, it is not permissible to take it unless there is permission for that, and God knows best.
