It is disliked for a fasting person to use toothpaste during the day in Ramadan; out of concern for the validity of their fast, but it does not break the fast if they are sure that nothing has reached the stomach from it. It is preferable for the fasting person to use it before the fast begins or after breaking the fast to avoid jeopardizing their fast.
