Question
Is it permissible to take human waste after several years underground in what is called a septic tank: a large sewage pit under the house where bathrooms drain, and is it permissible to take it and throw it on agricultural land? What is the ruling on consuming products from this land such as potatoes, corn, and wheat?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to use waste in agricultural land as fertilizer as long as it does not harm the crops in a way that causes harm to those who eat them, and God knows best.
