Question
What is the ruling on using a MasterCard for purchases, as this card has a certain balance that increases with use, and in case of delay in repayment beyond the specified time, interest must be paid? What is the ruling if repayment is made continuously without incurring interest?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: This card contains a usurious condition, so it is not permissible to deal with it due to the existence of the usurious contract. However, it can be overlooked in non-Muslim countries out of necessity for its use, provided that repayment is made before interest accrues, unlike in Muslim countries where it is possible to obtain cards from Islamic banks that do not have this condition. And God knows best.
