Use of Perfumes Containing Alcohol
Perfumes these days contain a large amount of alcohol, approximately 60% or 70%, for the spraying process. Are they forbidden? Or is it permissible to use them alongside other types of perfumes? If they touch clothing, do they render it impure, knowing that I have avoided them? I read some time ago that they are forbidden?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: industrial alcohol is not impure, and it is what is used in perfumes, and thus there is no harm in using perfumes; because they are not impure, and God knows best.
