Use of Deposited Money as Trust

Question
A man deposited money with his married daughter, and after his death, he forgave his siblings their share of this money. The sister then distributed it to the poor and needy, but previously she had given some of this money to her son to fulfill a need of his, and then returned the money. Does her action constitute a betrayal of trust? What should she have done?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If her father did not permit her to use it, she is not allowed to use it for herself or her son, and she is sinful for that and must repent and seek forgiveness. She should have informed all the heirs about the trust and its amount, and then divided it among them. And God knows best.
