Time-Wasting Games
There is a jurisprudential rule in the Hanafi school: 'Every amusement is forbidden.' Does this rule mean that every game that involves amusement and wasting time is forbidden?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: All games that are for amusement and distraction are forbidden; because they waste time on what has no benefit, and due to the dominance of false thoughts over their doer. And God knows best.
