Time of Intention for Voluntary Fasting
If I forget to intend to fast a voluntary fast on Mondays and Thursdays, should I make the intention at night, or can I intend after dawn?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The voluntary fast does not require intention from the night, and the intention is permissible before the major forenoon, which is an hour and a quarter before noon, and God knows best.
