The Work of the Employee in Selling Prohibited Items
What is the ruling on the salary of an employee who works in a store that sells alcohol and meat that is not slaughtered according to the Islamic method?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If he does not engage in selling activities such as transportation, cleaning, etc., then his work is permissible. However, if he sells alcohol, his work is not permissible, and his earnings are impure, which should be given in charity. In contrast, selling meat is entirely permissible, and God knows best.
