The Woman Initiating Salam to a Non-Mahram Man
I am a woman and sometimes I enter a place where there are only men, like a lecture hall or a taxi, where there is only the driver. What is the ruling on me initiating Salam?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If there is no fitna in responding to the greeting in this way, it is permissible, and God knows best.
