The Wife Taking Money Without the Husband's Knowledge
A financially capable husband does not give his wife what she asks for in terms of money, but he tells her to take what she wants out of embarrassment that she might feel he is lacking. She knows where he keeps the money, but he does not know that she knows. Sometimes she takes what she needs without his knowledge for various reasons, including that she likes to give to charity. She does not want to tell him that she knows where he keeps the money because she knows he will be sad and ask why she took it and what she will do with it. She feels humiliated by his questioning and feels that he has no right to monopolize the money, especially since all the property is legally in both their names. He is caught between being cautious and being stingy. Is she allowed to take what she needs from the money without his knowledge?
