The Wife's Charity for Her Home
I am an employee and at the end of the month I give my entire salary to my husband, and I have been accustomed to this for years so that he can spend it on us. Is it permissible for me to say to myself when giving the money to my husband that this money, O Lord, I accept it as charity for my deceased parents?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: Your spending on your children and your household is charity, so you can intend it for whomever you wish, including your parents. God knows best.
