The Waiting Period of a Woman if Her Relationship with Her Husband is Severed
A couple sleeps in separate rooms, then the husband fainted for a whole year and passed away. Does the woman have a waiting period?

I say, and with God's help: A woman whose husband has died must observe the waiting period (iddah) even if he was far from her due to travel or illness; because the waiting period is a matter of worship ordained by God, and God knows best.
