A woman’s husband passed away a few days ago, and she has male and female children, the oldest son is in the ninth grade, and the daughters are in university. She has a sister-in-law whose husband is traveling and has a disabled son. Is it permissible for this woman, whose husband has recently died, to go and observe her waiting period at her sister-in-law's house, where her husband is traveling and she has a disabled son?

Answer

I say, and with God's success: It is not permissible for her to observe the waiting period outside her house, unless staying in her house causes fitna (temptation), and God knows best.
