The Waiting Period of a Widow in Her Husband's House
Is it a requirement for a widow in her waiting period to stay in one house throughout the entire waiting period for death, with her husband's house in one province and her family's house in another province? Can she spend the first two weeks in her husband's house and, if she cannot complete the waiting period there, move to her family's house?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: She must observe the waiting period in the marital home unless she fears temptation there, in which case she may move to her family's home, for God knows best.
