The Vow to Read the Quran

Question
I vowed to read the Quran after a certain event occurred, and this event has taken place, but I was unable to read the Quran within the specified time. Is it permissible for me to read it outside of that time?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: A vow is only required in a specific act of worship, such as prayer, fasting, charity, or pilgrimage. Reciting the Quran is not a specific act of worship, so a vow made in this regard is invalid, and nothing is required of him; and God knows best.
