Question
Some people, during a dispute, say: 'I have a grudge against people, but my grudge is against the Lord of the Worlds.' Is it permissible to say that?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Its apparent meaning indicates a deficiency attributed to God Almighty, in that He has not fulfilled what is required of Him. This is a misconception about God; for God Almighty bestows upon us everything, and nothing is required of Him for us. Therefore, it is not permissible to utter it or similar phrases that do not affirm God's perfection. And God knows best.
