I say, and with God's success: The stealing of things by jinn is a possibility, and it has been established that the devil stole from the dates of charity; as in the hadith of Abu Huraira narrated by Bukhari: "The Prophet entrusted me with guarding the zakat of Ramadan, and a visitor came to him, and he began to scoop food, so I caught him and said: I will raise you to the Messenger of Allah . He said: I am in need, and I have dependents and a severe need, so Abu Huraira left him on the condition that he would not return. He did this three times, and at the end of the hadith, Abu Huraira says: I said: O Messenger of Allah: He claimed that he would teach me words that would benefit me from Allah, so I let him go. The Prophet asked: What are they? I said: He told me: When you go to your bed, recite Ayat al-Kursi from its beginning until you finish the verse: {Allah, there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence} [Al-Baqarah: 255]. He told me: You will always have a guardian from Allah, and no devil will come near you until morning. They were the most eager for goodness, and the Prophet said: Indeed, he has told you the truth, although he is a liar. Do you know who you have been speaking to for three nights, O Abu Huraira? I said: No. He said: That is a devil," and Allah knows best.
